WPBF  and the St. Pat's Day Parade

The White Plains St. Patrick's Day Parade came back with a bang on March 11. The spirit lives on. Here is a review.

It started with a truck.

This classic Department of Public Works truck comes out of the garage only for parades. Here's what it looked like before WPBF got to it.

We started with artificial trees and flowers, hot glue and high hopes.

The fun began before the march. Dunne's Pub served an Irish breakfast at which Dennis Power entertained with ballads (and witticisms).

An Irish toast:

May the most that you wish for be the least that you get

Everyone is Irish on St. Patrick's Day. Nick Wolff and Brian Wallach celebrate the wearing o' the green at Dunne's Pub.

Thanks to all who came to Dunne's Pub for the benefit of WPBF.

Your support blooms our flowers!

And then the parade began

A bit chilly, but the rain let up and the crowd warmed our stride.

Marchers (from left): Pat Bernstein, Deb Donahoe, Cecelia Spilotros and Diane Taylor, all wearing WPBF's signature yellow daffodil hats.

We were met with cheers from the crowds.

Other bands along the parade route march with pride.

See you at next year's parade.

Come march with us!
