Reflection

As 2020 draws to a close, the White Plains Beautification Foundation Board of Directors and Associates would like to extend to all our supporters, friends, neighbors and visitors our sincere wishes for a healthy, happy, prosperous and peaceful New Year.  Through all the disruptions and uncertainty of this waning year, we hope you have discovered the joy in life's simpler offerings, the calm in the quieter moments and the beauty that exists all around us.  It is also our hope that our gardens have helped to provide some relief from the stress of these past nine months. We look forward to beginning a brand new year and exploring all the possibilities 2021 has to offer.

The Edwin G. Michaelian Memorial Gazebo in Tibbits Park was built in 1984 in memory of the former Westchester County Executive and Mayor of White Plains. It was designed by Robert Pollack, architect and then WPBF VP, and its construction was funded by donations to WPBF. The rooster weathervane topper on the cupola was donated by Edwin G. Michaelian's wife. Joyce.

We wish everyone a happy New Year!

Who We Are

White Plains Beautification Foundation is an independent, not-for-profit organization encouraging gardens and green spaces throughout the City of White Plains. From the start, our organization has been composed entirely of volunteers who have donated many hours of their time helping make White Plains a beautiful place to live, work and visit.
